After a couple of times going back to the coffee shop without seeing Jungkook, you ended up assuming he wouldn't come back. It wasn't that hard to assume, since well, you hadn't seen him in weeks, so it was a big surprise when to you when he sat down at your usual table, smiling. He wasn't wearing the uniform of the coffee shop, he was wearing casual clothes, which made him look very good. So good you didn't want to think about it, since it was almost making you feel bad for your boyfriend. You blinked a couple of times before smiling a bit.

-It's been a while, you said.
-I agree! I haven't seen you in ages! I was kind of scared I would be able to meet you again, especially since I quit my job here.

So you were right. He did quit...

-Say, _____, does it bother you if I borrow for your cellphone?
-...No.

You took it out from your bag, handing it to him, wondering why he needed it. Maybe he needed to make a call? or... He handed it back to you, smiling widely, making you check what he did.

-There! Now you can contact me anytime!

He had...added his number to your cellphone? Why? You looked at him a bit confused, even though the only answer you got was a big smile. The same big smile he would have when he was really happy. At least, as much as you could tell.

-...Thanks.
-Don't hesitate, okay?
-...Sure...

You had no idea why you would call him, though. You barely could talk to him when he was there, so...Anyway, it wasn't like it could be a bad thing, really.

-I didn't take your number, so you don't have to worry about me calling you.
-I wasn't worried about it.

In the worst case, you could always hang up in his face. Which would be mean, but that was only if he called you, which wouldn't happen since he apparently didn't take your number. You'd think he would, but maybe he was either too innocent or too trusting you'll actually call. It wasn't like you were friends, you two would talk only in the café, which wouldn't happen much anymore since he wasn't working there anymore.

He did his cutest smile, looking at you.

-So, what's up?

If only making friends for you was as easy as saying 'what's up' to someone...Seemed like it was the case for him, since you started to talk about the recent events, about your work and all...including your current boyfriend. He seemed a bit...It was hard to say, but he didn't seem as happy as someone telling someone else 'I'm glad your relationship is going well' should look like. Though, you didn't think much of it.

-How long have you two been dating?
-Three years, just about.
-That's cool...
-Are you dating someone, Jungkook?
-...No. I'm a bit too busy, I guess.

He chuckled a bit, looking a little awkward about this. Seemed like his own love life wasn't going well. You only smiled.

-I thought you'd be dating someone. You were really popular.
-It doesn't mean much, I never dated before.

You looked surprised while he looked a bit awkward.

-I just...Well I had a crush on someone, but...didn't work out.
-Oh, sorry...
-Don't be, it's not your fault.

You drank some of your coffee, feeling a bit bad for asking that now. He never dated before, so that meant...He never had sex?

You drank a bit more, hiding your face. Why were you thinking about such dirty things? It was none of your business. It was...it was just a surprise to know you got to do it before the popular Jungkook...that's all. Nothing more...

-I hope you'll find someone that loves you as much as you love that person back.
-Thanks.

His smile came back and the conversation drifted away from that subject.

Eventually, you both went your way, you going back home while he went to do whatever he was going to do. Though, once you were back home later that day, sitting in the living room, your boyfriend still working since it was Hell at his job, you looked in your contacts. There he was.

Jungkook. Right there. Between a collegue of yours and your mom. A couple of years back, you would have wished to have it. Now...You didn't know. It couldn't hurt though, it was your choice to contact him or not. You didn't know why you would, but...life was always full of surprises.

Your life went on, between work and your social life, sometimes going to the café. You saw Jungkook a couple of times again, only at the café, since it seemed to be the only common place you two were going, talking a bit, becoming a bit more friendly with each other. Given some time, you warmed up to him, being less shy or protective of your words. It seemed to make him a bit more excited, sometimes almost jumping on his chair because of how much into a conversation he was. His joy was hard to ignore, making you smile a bit more than you usually would about things so simple as a beautiful sunny day.

Things seemed to be going smoothly. No problems, no worries. You couldn't ask for better. Well, except your boyfriend being more at home, but with work, it was always a thing. He was always coming back a little moody, but you knew it was only work wearing down on him.

Yet, after a couple of weeks, you still hadn't dare call Jungkook.
Hahaha....took forever, I know.

I don't own Jungkook.
